Biography

Richard Knowles is a contemporary photographer with over 15 years experience across multiple film formats.

Richard has utilised digital capture since its inception and his expertise spans still life, portraits, editorial and pack shot photography.

Having studied photography at Westminster College, Richard worked as a freelance assistant before joining Sotheby's Auctioneers as a full time assistant photographer.

Later progressing to Senior Photographer, shooting images for use in every type of two-dimensional media, encompassing a multitude of styles and techniques across a wide spectrum of subject matter.

Richard was also responsible for editorial, marketing, PR shots and portraits in locations throughout Europe.

Working closely alongside the Wyndeham Press Group, one of Europe's leading and largest media and print companies, Richard has utilised his photographic, retouching and colour management skills and thorough knowledge of workflow from concept to print to successfully help develop a thriving photographic department.

Richard's solid skill set, attention to detail and fresh ideas, has gained recognition from a variety of well-known and established creative agencies and art directors.
