I've been a full time professional photographer for over 20 years and have spent half my life in a studio or on location. I've pretty much seen and photographed it all in that time.
My photographic journey began in the early 90's as an assistant to a famous advertising photographer in London before joining Sotheby's and spending 8 years with them travelling Europe photographing fine art collections at some of the world's most beautiful locations.
I spent the next 4 years setting up and running a successful and bustling studio in Bow, East London shooting advertising campaigns and fashion for many heavyweight clients including British Airways, John Lewis, Next, Chelsea FC, Thomas Pink, Dwell, The Telegraph, The Times, Evening Standard, BBC and Designers Guild to name a few.
8 years ago I helped a friend out by agreeing to photograph his wedding and from that moment I was hooked and have photographed and videoed weddings ever since.
I've now shot over 300 weddings, both large scale and intimate at most of the finest wedding venues in the country inc St Pauls Cathedral, Blenheim Palace, Great Fosters, Leeds Castle, Hedsor House, Highclere (Downton Abbey), Rowlands Castle, Syon Park, The Ritz, The Langham, Mandarin Oriental, Pembroke Lodge etc etc
So onto the million dollar question - 'how would you describe your style'
Instead of trying to answer that myself I'll refer to some of the words that my clients have used to describe my work over the years;
''Candid, natural, stylish, reportage, dramatic, romantic, timeless, like something out of a fashion magazine, relaxed''
And when describing me they've said I'm;
''fun, friendly, a consummate professional, organised, warm, instills confidence, highly experienced, creative, enthusiastic, has an eye for detail, hardworking, put's people at ease, great to work with and have around on the day"
So there you have it me and my story in a nutshell.
